SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES AT WCS

A Collegiate education makes an immediate impact and has lifelong value. We want that education to be accessible to families from a broad range of backgrounds. That’s why we are thrilled to offer two scholarship opportunities in addition to our indexed tuition program. We recognize that a private education is a significant investment and do not want tuition to be a barrier for entry. We believe that socioeconomic diversity is critical to our mission to support well-rounded, curious, thoughtful young leaders, ready to navigate and thrive in their communities.

Read more about the scholarship opportunities available below. Our indexed tuition program, which is a sliding scale tuition rate based on a family's unique financial circumstances, is another path available to making a Collegiate education a reality. Learn more about that program HERE.

Any family concerned about affording a Collegiate education is encouraged to apply for indexed tuition and scholarships. Please contact Director of Community Engagement Kathy Rukes at krukes@wcsks.com with any questions you may have.

Application materials must be submitted by March 15.

MALONE SCHOLARS PROGRAM

For nearly twenty years, Wichita Collegiate School has been honored to be designated as a Malone Scholars School. Thanks to the $2.5 million endowment provided by the Malone Foundation, we can offer an excellent educational opportunity for academically talented students who might not otherwise be able to attend the school.

Inspired by the impact his own high school experience had on his future, Dr. John Malone founded the scholarship program with the hope that other young scholars would be given the same opportunity to reach their potential.

Malone Scholars Schools are selected on the basis of academic caliber; quality of faculty and staff; excellent accommodations for gifted students, including strong AP and enrichment programs; attention to the individual student’s needs, interests, and talents; financial strength, stability, and commitment to financial aid; and an economically, culturally, ethnically, and socially diverse student population. There are only 50 Malone Scholars Schools in the United States, and WCS is the only one in Kansas.

Being a Malone Scholar at Wichita Collegiate gave me the opportunity to truly explore my academic talents and abilities. I loved how my teachers wanted me to succeed not only in their classrooms but also in life. The students' work ethic is infectious and inspiring. I am so excited to accomplish great things with everything that was instilled in me at Collegiate. I absolutely love this school. My only regret is that I wish I could've started in kindergarten.

DeVORE SCHOLARS PROGRAM

We are thrilled to announce the establishment of the DeVore Scholars Program, a transformative new scholarship made possible through the generous twelve-year commitment from the DeVore Foundation. This prestigious scholarship will fund up to 95% of tuition during a scholar's Middle School years, ensuring they benefit from the depth of our curriculum and strength of our community.

The DeVore Scholars will be chosen through a careful process that reflects Collegiate's enduring commitment to excellence, integrity, and opportunity for all qualified students. By fostering access to exceptional learning opportunities, the DeVore Foundation affirms the fundamental value of preparing students for purposeful leadership and meaningful achievement. Wichita Collegiate School is honored to steward this program and to witness the future accomplishments of the DeVore Scholars!

We created the DeVore Scholarship to ensure that talented young people, regardless of financial circumstances, can benefit from the richness of a Collegiate education and the experience it offers. Our hope is that each DeVore Scholar feels supported, challenged, and inspired to discover what they're capable of, growing into leaders who will strengthen their communities.
