Debate All Americans

Congratulations to Joseph Gadalla, Katherine Grace, Daniel Hechenberger, and Emma Mantovani for being honored with the National Speech and Debate Association Academic All American Award. The award is only given to approximately 1% of all high school speech and debate students. Students who earn this award have completed at least five semesters of high school, have a minimum 3.7 GPA, and have a superior speech and debate competition record, coupled with a commitment to leadership, character and excellence. Wichita Collegiate School has had fifteen students named All-Americans throughout our school's history, including our four current students.

All four students were also a part of our State Championship Debate squad. In fact, Daniel Hechenberger and Joseph Gadalla won the 2-Speaker State Championship in Class 3-2-1A while their teammates Emma Mantovani and Katherine Grace were the 2-Speaker State Runners-Up in Class 3-2-1A. Congratuations, Spartans!
