LOWER SCHOOL (GRADES 1-4)
Our Lower School program is one that honors the important interconnectedness of the social and academic needs of young children. Each day is filled with activities that build a foundation for academic and social achievement. Low student-to-teacher ratios help create an environment of individualized instruction fostering self-expression, encouraging problem-solving, promoting collaboration, and developing critical thinking skills.
The Wichita Collegiate Lower School is staffed with experienced, supportive teachers who help our students love learning.
An environment of mutual respect, support, and collaboration lays the groundwork for success in the exciting and challenging work that lies ahead for each child. We invite you to learn more about our Lower School.
Homeroom class sizes are limited to 16 students, ensuring every child is truly known.
A strong emphasis on English Language Arts lays the foundation for developing critical thinkers and life-long learners.
With a commitment to science, technology, and mathematics, students engage in hands-on lessons that lay a strong foundation in future STEM studies.
The fine arts comes to life in both our music and art classrooms as students are given the instruction and opportunity to create and hone their talents and passions.
Our students' days are enriched by our dedicated teachers for Spanish, physical education, library, and positive steps, a character education class taught by our school counselor.
