The Collegiate community is invited to a welcome party for new Head of School Nathan Washer and his family, who have recently moved to Wichita. Come to the Upper School Commons on Thursday, July 25 anytime from 4 - 7 p.m. for snacks and opportunities to get to know Nathan and the Washer family. There will be games, food, and fun for the whole family!
Wichita Collegiate School is very pleased to welcome Nathan Washer as our new Head of School. Mr. Washer succeeded Tom Davis, who retired in May after 19 years as Collegiate’s Head of School and 13 years on the Board of Trustees. Mr. Washer is the seventh Head of School since Collegiate’s founding in 1963.

Five WCS 7th graders were recently invited to a special recognition ceremony by the Duke Talent Identification Program (TIP).
WCS Boys Tennis is the 3A State Champion! This marks the 53rd State Championship for Coach Dave Hawley and his teams.
Spartan weight lifters came in strong at State!
The WCS Upper School chess team won second place in the 3A team category at the Kansas State Scholastic chess tournament held at Emporia State University on March 9, 2019. They also won sixth place overall. Joshua Fernandes was tied 2nd on points but placed 8th on tiebreakers. Justin Highbarger and Addison Willet were tied 13th on points but were placed 27th and 37th respectively on tiebreakers. About 150 high schoolers from various Kansas schools took part. Well done chess players!
