Looking for outstanding after-school activities for your pre-school through high school student? Collegiate Enrichment Academy offers a wide range of excellent extra-curricular experiences on campus for our children outside of the school day. These typically run for one semester at a time, one session per week. Some of the offerings include dance, art, and music. Feel free to contact Steve Elmore (634-0489, x. 536, or firstname.lastname@example.org) with any questions or comments. Non-Collegiate students may also enjoy Enrichment Academy classes. May your children experience much creative growth and excitement. Unleash the genius within!
*NOTE Due to Covid requirements, CEA fall group classes will be conduced live or pre-recorded online through Zoom or other streaming platform. Private guitar, piano, or voice lessons may be conducted live online or in person. See individual classes for status.
Registration takes place on a web-based registration system called ACTIVE Network. If you have used ACTIVE in the past to register for Summer Explorations or Collegiate Enrichment Academy, please use the same account that is linked to your email. Please do not set up multiple accounts. If you forgot your password, you can reset it according to the instructions.
The ACTIVE Network provides a secure site for each user account. The parent portal provides access to each user's account information including enrollment history, payment plans, balance, and printable receipts for all transactions. You can access the parent portal here.
Registration Helpful Hints:
Use age/grade/level filter OR session type filters to see all classes available. They do not work together.
Great Beginnings and Pre-School classes (ages 3-4) are included in the "Pre-School" category.
- This system is fully tested to work properly on Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Google Chrome. Desktop versions work best.
- For security reasons, all of the registration form pages on ACTIVE.com have pre-set time limits for completion.
- There is a time limit of 60 minutes of inactivity for the registration form, but if you move your mouse, click on the screen or type, the timer will restart.
- There is a time limit of 15 minutes to complete check-out. There is no keep alive functionality. You have 15 minutes to finish once you hit the check-out page.
- If you are having trouble you may call the ACTIVE customer support line 1-877-228-4881 9:00am-7:00pm (CST) Monday - Friday.
ENROLLMENT: To enroll, click the "Registration" link in the menu on the left. Great Beginnings, pre-School, and pre-Kindergarten students are categorized "pre-K" on the registration form.
FEES: Each session (fall, winter, spring) requires new enrollment and incurs new fees. Full year enrollments cover the entire CEA year. All CEA fees must be paid in full for each session in advance. No CEA fees may be billed to your WCS account.
Special note: Private Band Instruments lessons are paid monthly to WCS through Troy Fischer, US and MS Band Instructor.
CLASS ESCORTS: Students PS-2nd grade are escorted to their CEA class/lesson by an adult. Students of this age range who stay on campus after their class will be escorted to their next destination.
CANCELLATIONS/RESCHEDULING LESSONS: We understand that under some circumstances your child may not be able to attend his or her lesson. Parents are expected to pay for cancellations made less than 24 hours before the lesson unless there is an emergency (see below). When the teacher cancels or the weather or calendar dictates an absence and a make-up lesson is not rescheduled, you will receive a reimbursement for the amount of the lesson.
To reschedule a lesson please observe these procedures: (1) A lesson will be rescheduled only if the CEA teacher is notified at least 24 hours prior to the absence. (2) A lesson will be rescheduled at a time that is mutually convenient for the CEA teacher, parents, and student, and when facilities are available. The 24-hour policy may be waived if the cancellation is due to an emergency or sudden illness or at the teacher's discretion.
COMMUNICATION: The Director is always available to discuss concerns or answer questions. Please discuss any problem with the CEA teacher first, if appropriate. If you are not satisfied, do not hesitate to contact the Director.
MESSAGE BOARD: A message board is posted in the Dakhil EC Building East Hallway. Announcements concerning cancellations, class location changes, semester start and end dates, and other information will be posted throughout the year.
CEA classes follow the WCS calendar and observe the same holiday and conference schedule. CEA fall and spring semesters encompass 12 weeks of lessons/classes. The winter session covers the six-week inter-semester period. Some classes operate on a modified schedule, so check this calendar or ask the instructor if you have any questions. Missed sessions may require additional time to be made up. COVID-19 restrictions may alter the schedule. Click below to access the calendar:
