Admission & Aid

Choosing a Wichita Collegiate School education is an investment in the life of your child. A Collegiate education pays off today, with a school experience that embraces the family, invigorates your child’s personality and intellect, and introduces students to an entire universe of ideas and possibilities. Later, a Collegiate education can help your graduate earn valuable scholarships and admission into the country’s best colleges and universities. And more importantly, a Collegiate graduate is prepared for life, with critical thinking and reasoning skills, a sense of responsibility and ethics, and the confidence to succeed.

How to Apply
Wichita Collegiate School seeks to enroll academically qualified students of good character who are motivated to learn. Because of our challenging curriculum, we conduct admission evaluations to ensure that admitted students will be able to succeed at Collegiate and maximize the opportunities for learning. Prospective students should demonstrate average or above aptitude, and perform at a minimum at the grade level for which they are applying. Admission decisions are made after considering an applicant’s evaluations, transcript, and teacher recommendation.

Wichita Collegiate School accepts applications year round. Enrollment is subject to availability of space in the desired grade level and several grades typically have wait lists. We encourage you to apply early.

In addition, students in Grades 1 - 12 are encouraged to spend a day in classes with a student host and be our guests for lunch. Student visits may be arranged in advance at most any time.

Financial Assistance

Financial assistance at Wichita Collegiate School is granted on the basis of financial need, and is dependent upon fiscal resources available to Collegiate at the time of application for financial aid. Need depends upon many variables, such as family income, size of family, and number of children in schools that charge tuition, etc. The maximum award possible is 80% of tuition. Due to the limitations of our financial aid budget, financial assistance is limited to full-day students.

Financial need should never discourage a student from applying for admission to Collegiate. If you are not sure whether you qualify for financial aid, we encourage you to apply; this is the best way to find out.

To apply for Financial Aid:
Fill out the Financial Aid Application Form and the Asset and Liability sheet.

Provide Wichita Collegiate School with your most recent Federal 1040, State return, and W-2 forms.

Complete the SSS (School and Student Service) forms online by logging on to www.nais.org/financialaid/sss. (Be sure to designate that the SSS report be sent to Wichita Collegiate School.  Our school code for SSS is 8200.)

Include information about any other extenuating financial situations you feel should be considered.

Return completed application and documentation to: Wichita Collegiate School Business Office Attn: Kevin Reed, P.O. Box 782768, Wichita, KS 67278-2768

Be assured that all of the information you provide will be held in the strictest confidence.

Divorced or Separated Parents: The resources of both natural parents must be considered in cases where a divorce or separation has taken place. This information should be provided to the school. The availability of information from both parents is essential to assure a fair assessment of the family contribution. Lack of this information may result in no award or an arbitrarily low financial aid award.

Because the pool of financial aid money is limited, we encourage interested families to apply for admission and for financial aid at their earliest convenience.

If you have any questions or comments regarding Wichita Collegiate's financial assistance plan, please contact Kevin Reed at 771-2212.
