WCS’s Upper School Science Olympiad team is headed to the National Competition for the 3rd consecutive year after winning 1st place in the small school division and 1st place overall at the Kansas State Competition on Saturday, April 05. The team won medals in 20 of 23 events. This is the 3rd year in a row that they have gone to Nationals, after also competing in 2004. Congratulations to the Spartan girls basketball team and coaches for their 57-43 victory over the Cherryvale Chargers to place third in the 3A State Basketball Tournament!

The WCS "Smartans" Robotics Team took 1st Place in the Apprentice Level at the Mindstorms Robotics Challenge held at WSU on February 16, and also won the Judges' Choice Award for the Ramp-It Challenge.
