Philosophy

Wichita Collegiate School Lower School is committed to maximizing the potential of each child through a positive, interactive, integrated, and forward-thinking elementary program.

During my 35 years at WCS, I have seen marvelous advances in research and knowledge on how to best meet the unique needs of each of our students. With the continued growth of our global society, we look for new and better ways to bring the world into our classrooms.

Through community service, the teaching of universal values with an accelerated, college preparatory curriculum, we prepare the whole child to be a contributing member of society.

Our Lower School Motto for the 2009-2010 is: PLANET COLLEGIATE, MAKING A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE.
